Just wondering if there is anything I should look out for when loading cast bullets in a rifle in 9mm luger? Do I need gas checked bullets? any advice from others that have done this is appreciated! Thanks

You will find very few molds for the 9mm with a GC, the velocity/pressure does not merit one, far more important is bullet fit, the bullet must be big enough to more then fill the bore or you will get leading, same as with a pistol. Gas check bullet designs meant for the .357 may be used if you want the extra expense of a Gc.

What kind of rifle, an AR? Hi-point? Just asking for curiousity sake, I don't have anything more to add to the thread other than pistol caliber carbines are AWESOME (the only way to make a Hi-point awesome, IMHO).

Have put a few hundred (plain base) through a 9mm Largo Destroyer carbine. Midrange loads. No leading. Simple to load for the bolt action when gas pressure is not an issue.
