Loading BP shogun shells

I took a scrap 12ga barrel, and cut off a section of the chamber 2 1/2" long. Put the casing into it, cut off the excess with a sharp knife.
Made a wadcutter on the lathe, use it in the drill press to cut wads from cardboard, cork. Soak the cork wads in melted lube. Wads do need to fit the cases you are using.
I have found that paper cases burn through in short order.
To crimp I use one of the antique hand cranked roll crimpers. You often see these at shows, they are not expensive.
Have used brass cases in the past (Remington "Best"). As mentionned, they do have to be cleaned carefully after each use.

Okay, so if I use brass casings, I definitely cannot have the over shot card coming loose and moving forward. So I must make sure that card is anchored. The two top candidates are Waterglass and plastic glue gun. But if I am using black powder, I wonder about the plastic glue cruding up the inside of the barrel. What say you?
