Hi,
I was wondering if sombody can help me out.
I want to load some 8X68S with 180 Grain Nosler Ballistic Tip Bullets. Barrel lenght is 26" (Sauer-Weatherby Mark V).
Powder on Hand which I like to use up is Winchester 760.
Also om Hand Win. 748, 4198, 4227,4759.

Here is the Hornady load data for the cartridge. I have a Sauer Model 80 coming in the mail! Can’t wait. Where did you find dies?

Meanwhile my Friends in Germany found a recepie for the Nosler 180 Grain Balistic Tip Bullets I have on Hand. Its 68.9 Grain of 760 Winchester which I have on Hand too and like to use.

8X68S Dies are not easy o find and usualy expensive. We have 2 Sets RCBS but none for sale at this time becouse one of the Sauer-Weatherbys in 8X68 will be up for sale after October and the Buyer will get the option to purchase one Set with the Rifle.

Sauer 80 is a very fine Rifle with an Action as smooth as silk and very accorate, you will love it. Over the years we seen quite a few of these in my Guide Outfitting Operation and becouse of that I advise if you have not done so already try, to get a spare Magazin in case you loose one during a hunting trip.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve got a set of dies coming from the US. I was fortunate to find a fellow selling 150 pieces of new Norma brass online so I’m ready to rock. I’m thing of running 195-200gr bullets to start although the 220 Grain Sierras look like they’d be pretty wild.

I’m already looking for another magazine. If you come across one, please let me know.

There are several places in the US and in Germany which still sell original ones made out of Steel not Plastic.
Prices vary but even the cheapest ones in new condition I was able to obtain where in the Cdn $ range of 500.** and took Months to get. The 8 Cartridge ones sell for about a 1000.** Autch.

I’ve come across a few on eBay but no shipping to Canada… I haven’t come across any plastic mags for the Model 80. Any leads on any extra mags would be amazing.
 
My 8x68S will put 220gr. Sierra Gamekings into 0.75" at 2940 fps. Crazy. These particular GameKings were designed for the 8mm Rem Mag so they are a stout bullet. I shot a bull moose two years ago with it. One round. Dropped straight down like he'd been hit by lightning. Dead.

Congrats on the brass, fuzzy39. Darn hard to find. And with TradeEx folded, it seems like nobody is importing this factory ammo.
