I've scored about 400 Canadian MK7 pulled bullets and my intent is to load them with H4895 as that's what I have on hand. Does anybody have any experience in what charge these should be loaded with to approximate the performance of the MK7 military load and match the sights of a SMLE? Is it preferable to load them a little less hot than the military load in order to extend brass life and possibly get some more accuracy? Are these bullets generally accurate? They look good and have flat bases with exposed lead.

Also, can I safely tumble these to remove a little corrosion without affecting the bullets?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know about load data, but you can tumble bullets without worry. I tumble projectiles all the time.
With a little soap, lemon juice and stainless steel pins, they come out looking like new.

I have about 1/2 case of 1943 303 mkVIZ left,DI marked, boxer primed with 174 gr copper bullets,I recently pulled some
bullets and weighed the powder,36gr,appeared to be a stick powder similar to IMR4895.Funny,it states on the box,"not be be fired from synchronized guns after Dec.1945"

Once the weather warms up here and the range will be usable I'l chronograph them and compare them to what I have been loading,
I also got from a member here a couple hundred 303 bullets in cupro-nickel,also 174 gr,will try them as well.
According to Lyman #49 manual,starting load in 4895-37,max 41.

If they're soft nosed, they are late production IVI that are/were issued to the Canadian Rangers. This ammo was likely produced in late 90's. This was good ammo and, I suspect, made with commercial components. I opened one of the rounds once and found the powder was a ball powder. I suspect similar to W748. H4895 will work just fine, 36 - 38 gr will give you pretty good accuracy I would think.

Yeah ill second that load data. As does hodgdons relaoding. 36-38gr of H4895 and 174gr bullet should be good. 38gr should be 2440 ish and a max load.
