Loading Smokeless Muzzleloaders- let's talk!

Update #3- now this is podracing!

Tried the 310gr Dynamos over H4198 using my homemade doorstop wads, and got results! Working up from 56 through 60 gr of powder- 56gr resulted in vertical stringing, 58gr gave me a decent 1.5" round group, but 60gr was right on the money.

100 yards, 0.44" center-to-center for 3 shots at 2460 FPS over the chrony. Boy I'm please as can be! If the weather holds, I'll be taking it out to 500-600 yards this weekend to see what it can really do :)

Tried posting a photo but apparently I'm "over my allowed storage limit" right now (even though I don't have any photos posted right now as far as I know) so I'll have to message an admin to see what do about that...

I realize this thread is 5 years old. I'm just curious if you're still happy with the results that you're getting.

I have a 10MLII that I love. I've harvested tons of deer with it. I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon. But my son needs a muzzleloader this year and I'm just wondering if it's worth going with a Cecil Epp one or if i should try to hunt down a good 10MLII.
 
Last year I built a cva scout 45-70 into a smokeless muzzleloader. I used the hankins ignition system and got a smith from out east to install the breech plug. I shoot 275gr furys right at 2500 fps bullet to bore. I'm quite happy with the accuracy. I haven't messed with it too much yet, just waiting for spring


Op if you're close to saskatoon I have the hankins smooth sizing die you can try if you like
