loading with large rifle magnum primers

I want to do some loads in my 257 Roberts with some Win. 760 and the manual suggests I use a magnum primer with this powder.
I have some Mag. primers and I have some match magnum primers from Federal, when would I want to use a match magnum primer?

760 would work most reliably with a magnum primer, or at least a hot primer like the standard Winchester.

Save the Federal for accuracy loading or for rifles with a light firing pin spring. Federals are more sensitive.

Magnum primers ............I put that $hit on everthing....760 in a .250 Savage Rem 700.....Harold

414 is the same ball powder as the old Winchester 760.
On their plastic bottle of new 414 they list loads for four different calibres, I think it is. For all but a big magnum they recommend standard primers.

For me I would also save the match primers. It sure can't hurt to use the Mag primers.
