Hello

I am looking for loads for my .38/200 Enfield revolver firing a 200 grain lead bullet. I have Unique, Herco and Trail Boss on hand but am willing to try other powders. Thanks

I worked up load for my 38 Enfield,

38 S&W 140grain lead round nose S&B SPP with 2.4g of titegroup, I call them louse farts. They are great for 10-15 yards, start to tumble at 40-45 yards. if you are using a 200grain projectile I would start at 2.0g of titegroup.

I used the 38 S&W loads from the Lyman Cast Bullet handbook.

The rounds shown above are:

* Lee C358-200-RF bullets -- http://leeprecision.com/mold-dc-c358-200-rf.html -- weighing about 203 gr, pan lubed with homemade beeswax/vaseline/parafin lube

* Starline 38 S&W brass sized in Lee 38 S&W dies with small pistol primer

* 1.3 gr of Titegroup

The load was based on the Lyman #358430 load from the Lyman Cast Handbook. I reduced the charge as the bullets were heavier than the published load.

These loads all fired and printed on paper but not particularly accurately. Accuracy improved shooting from a rest so I think the issue there was me.

I'm also trying the Lee TL358-158-2R bullet -- http://leeprecision.com/mold-dc-tl358-158-2r.html. As cast and lubed with Lee tumble lube, mine weigh in at about 163 gr. I've not loaded these up yet.
