Does anybody use 4895 in their 7mm's? Just wonderng b/c thats all i buy so far. It works awesome in all the other calibers i have so i would like to try it in the 7mm. I will be using 150gr spitzers. The reloading manuals i have don't really show any loads for it. If nobody has any good loads for me I think I will pick up a pound of H4350.
Edit: sorry title should read 4895

If you are talking about the 7mm remington magnum, 4895 powders are way to fast. That's why there are no loads showing for them. 4350 is the fastest powders you would want to use, but would look into slower burning, example, Hodgon or IMR 4831, IMR 7828, H-1000, RL 22 just to name a few!

From the Sierra book.

Accuracy Load: Retumbo/ 69.7grs. 3000fps/ 2998ft. lbs.
Hunting Load: RE-22/ 64.5grs. 3100fps/ 3201ft. lbs

Retumbo would appear to be a good choice unless there is a significant advantage to whipping another 100 fps out of your rifle.
Not many animals will be able to tell the difference.

PS: Do Not Use IMR4895!!!
