Anyone got any 'tried & true' loads for the triple deuce?

I have lots of reloading manuals so just want to here from the guys that actually load and shoot the 222 for their secret recipes!

Thanks!

222 Remington loads

Hi there Billy,:D
52 grain Sierra HPBT over 23 grains of H335 gave good accuracy in my .222:)
Also 23 grains of IMR 4895 with a Hornady 60 grain bullet.
20 grains of IMR 3031 and a 50 grain Nosler HPBT:eek:
52 grain Sierra HPBT and 22 grains of IMR 4064
Federal 205 small rifle primers were used.:)

My "Go To" load for my .222 is 22.5 grains H-322 under a 52 grain Hornady A-Max with CCI BR primers. This is for my Remington 700 BDL.
My SAKO however favours a 40 grain Sierra HP with 24 grains of H-322 or 22 grains of IMR 4198 with Remington 7 1/2 BR primers.

I used 26 gr of BLC-2 , 50 gr hornady V-MAX, Rem brass and magnum small rifle primers. I sighted in today and was more than happy with the results. I shot 3 shot groups that were .5 of an inch and a five shot group of .75 inches. It was pretty windy and i was getting some drift at 100 yds. Some ppl told me the BLC-2 is temp. sensitive but the magnum primers seemed to do the trick.

If you can get your hands on the Feb 2006 issue of Handloader Magazine, there an article on handloads for the 222 Rem, starting on page 58.
