I'm in the GTA looking at Lever Arms website, they have some FN 1922 surplus pistols listed for sale. I called to ask if there was any chance to get a picture of one of the 4 left/the one I'd be getting and they said unless I was local there would be no selecting. He also said the condition between them varies noticeably.

Not great, though at that price I understand. This is why gun stores should have consignment haha, take no time or effort for a guy wanting to make a sale to snap a photo and text/email it.

If there's a CGNer reading this who's going by there in the next couple days... Is there any chance you could check out the guns and notice if one is in nicer shape? If so, maybe note the last few digits of the serial so I can at least try to specify over the phone?

For what it's worth, you should take a look at Lever Arms' reviews online - they're not really known for top notch customer service. Having said that, if you really want something they're selling, then you can sometimes overlook the *&^* are you doing in here attitude...

I really want one, I will agree the tude was not ideal. Actually pretty insane...

"If I bought one now, could you maybe pick out the one in nicest condition?"

"uh, man, for the milsurps it's really just luck of the draw..."

"So you really cant just pick out the one you think is in nicest condition?"

"we dont do that..."

I said thanks, bye. I've worked at a gun store before... I can kind of understand that kind of attitude with some guy who wants to root through 10 beat up $200 tokarevs to find the "mintiest" one... but going through 3 pistols, kind of rare in Canada, that are gonna be over $500 with tax to eye ball the nicest... I'd do that no question unless the guy was a complete ####, which I don't think I was.

Still, if anyone knows or can speak of the condition of these... I'm all ears!!

Check the EE for the seller "bruno38" or try PM-ing him. He lists FN1922's regularly.....and almost always under $500

With that attitude I would suspect you'd just get sent the worst one.
