Who's our local Winchester expert?
I just bought a Winchester SRC in 32 Win Special made in 1911 which has an interesting three-leaf express sight on it. Unfortunately the middle leaf has been broken off. Its been well used, blueing worn off the receiver and barrel, but remaining under the lever and on the mag tube. Rear stock is full of character but not cracked or broke. It looks like it was carried extensively but not shot much, the barrel is close to unfired condition.
But I just wanted to know what the ranging is for the three leaves.
The main thick part at the rear of the sight has '50' stamped on one side, '100' stamped on the other. The one remaining leaf has nothing stamped on it.
And my stupid question of the day, does anyone know of anyone selling a sight this like, or repro sights that are produced?
Thanks gents
