Lock for spur trigger?

I have a few spur trigger revolvers and break actions. Presently, I store them using cable locks through the bbl/cylinder.
Do you folks know of any other ways to secure them for storage?

Yes.. buy a small pistol cabinet with a key and leave them inside, without the necessity of a cable lock. They are not subject to the "restricted" storage rules, so you can just store them like you would a non-restricted rifle.

Or... get a small safe.

However, my personal and rather immedeate experience leads me to believe that should you be found with handguns, of any discription, not locked and locked, in the province of bantario, will find you face down on the pavement, cuffed and off to the nearest goal.

Tens of thousands of dollars later, if you are lucky, you will be able to say "I'm not subject to your restricted storage rules!" It's of very small comfort, I can assure you.

Actually if they are antique they require no lock what so ever, when in storage. If you are that worried about being charged get antique letters for them.

This is my personal experience, which I do not wish to experience again.

A year before the courts and many, many thousands $ later, tends to open your eyes a bit! LOL

Sounds like you had an unpleasant incident with officer friendly.
It would seem that nothing would suffice for the boneheads that you ran into.

Perhaps removing the cylinder and locking them individually as well as the frame would suffice ?

No, your quite right tonyg, once they have you targeted, you're going down regardless of the circumstance surrounding your storage method. It is a fact however, that being proactive in your storage methods will save you much time and money when you finally do get before the courts.
Yes, removing the cylinders and locking them separate would work for the revolvers. Bit of a hassel keeping track of shims and pins and such. Won't work for the break actions.

Store them like regular restricted then. Either in a safe, or cable locked as you described and in a locked cabinet.
