Lockhart Tactical Raven Platinum Edition, .223 Wylde

I want to build one of these.

Are the builders kits worthwhile or am I better to start with a full rifle, make sure it works / warranty if not, and then start replacing parts?

Building one is going to cost more $$$ plus the headache of sourcing parts.
I changed the trigger/stock,pistol grip and hand guard on mine at a total cost of $2800.

The blemish rifles might be worth while to take a look at

Complete blemish all day. Get it in a week or two from what I’ve seen. Then change parts as you see fit. Builders kit or even going from scratch will cost more in the long run. Assuming you don’t already have parts just chilling in the safe.

I'm 6 Weeks in on a Blem order, just shipped

Has any one else ordered the new Raven ambi CH? I received a notification the other day that it was available and rushed to buy it, not looking at the price. But considering it was only $20 more than the Gen 1 I don't this its too crazy. It is like the Radiant CH and uses a mechanical latch as opposed to the spring detents. Mine shipped out today so it should be here in a few days. I will post some pics when it arrives.

Yup, mine should be arriving tomorrow. I also got the in-stock notification and bought it. Checked again after a few hours and they were sold out.

THe new CH arrived yesterday. It is very nicely done. My only grip is that the left lever is shorter than the right lever, much like the Radiant. Fit and finish is excellent.
Pics as promised.

How do you like the Arken 1-8? I have an epl4 6-24 and am quite pleased with it. I assume the lpvo is just as good but am curious what you think.

That looks way better than that wire spring equipped contraption that is the first iteration - that thing is utter crap.

I can't seem to find that new handle on their website. I understand it's likely sold out bit should be able to find it.

Sign up for the notifications. I ordered the second I received the email. By the time I had finished checking out they were gone.

I am quite pleased with the Arken quality. The glass is excellent. The click are nice and tactile. The reticle and the FPP features a really cool. My only gripes are the weight, this thing is heavy for an LPVO. The zoom ring is very stiff, and the size makes it feel a bit cumbersome. It would be nice to see the same features in a smaller, lighter package.

Thanks. $189 ouch. Ltac really thinks a lot of all of their accessories. It would be nice if there was a cheaper option that bolted on to the 1st Gen handle with the two screws as an upgrade.

I got the Gen 2 charging handle, and the spring feels very stiff. I'm worried that it might still exacerbate the wear on the upper receiver. Do you guys find the spring too stiff?
