Locking a soft case

Hey,

Dumbest question tonight.

If I'm transporting my AR in a soft case, how do you "lock" it?

Just put a luggage toy lock on the zipper? Does that count?

I use a Master backpack combo lock through the zippers. It looks like a carabiner- works well, got it at CT.

LOL, yeah, I always find the concept of locking a soft case silly. It is the law, yes, but the logic.....

Yes but most hardened street thugs are far to macho to carry nail clippers around with them......

x2, all my soft cases have small Master Locks on them.

My only problem is I have about 80 different keys for all the locks. Finally have a system down for organizing the keys!

Me too... spend a few more bucks and get locks with combination numbers instead.

Dude! That's what all my hard cases have, combo locks. And there are at least 12 combinations to remember. Sometimes I wonder why I can't remember my bank card PIN?

Too many LOCKS and too many NUMBERS!

I found twenty locks at Princess auto all with the same key and now use them on all my gun cases= I now have a bunch of spare individual locks for sale!!!

Most combo locks you can set the numbers to what you want, all the same.

The whole idea behind locked transport is completely asinine. That said, my understanding is that you're meeting the legal requirements established by our intellectually inferior political masters... so thumbs up.

Dude you need to get some new locks. All mine I can set to same combo...very easy. I tried the key thing but too many keys is just lame...especially when you're in a hurry and tryin to get in one particular case.

As I was saying, our intellectually stunted political representatives like to think that way, however the flaw in their logic is obvious even to a 10 year old. It's sad that grown adults even fall for this sh*t to begin with...
