Looks like it's QD stubby hand grip or possibly a tripod head that is being used as a vertical pistol grip.....

It looked like a tripod head to me as well. You can never have enough pistol grips on a little badger, at least that's what my grandpa used to say.

Looks like a pop-up/BUIS sight the black rifle guys use but more importantly....no rail went unused. lolz

I think that latch in front of the trigger guard should have a warning on it. Don't try and one-hand that opening=could lose a finger!
