LOL...twist on bear defence threads

If she'd waited another 2 or 3 seconds until the bear was just a touch closer before giving him a snootfull of pepper spray, her kayak probably would have remained unmolested.

People spending time in Grizzly country should spend a little time learning about Grizzlies, I think.

I kind of like how the bear gave the boat a few extra pokes, seemingly out of spite.

HEY!!! I'm a city slicker lol! Always have been. I gotta deal with critters on TWO LEGS called CRACKHEADS that carry knives, bear spray, batons and even guns! I never saw Yogi Bear pick up a TEC-9 and terrorize the neighbourhood LOL!

I think I am more astonished that the video actually hit the internet after that embarrassing episode. Hopefully there are no offspring.
 
Typical townie bleed-heart woman response. Not a big deal. Some are being a bit harsh. This is a response we would expect. The lady was at least brave enough to give yogi a pepper taste. Many of you have probably never been in as tight of a situation unarmed. Respect should be given to bears. I would think another spray of the pepper would've saved the kayak. If she had displayed her aggression PHYSICALLY. But hindsight is 50/50.

This women might have been educating others how to work with wild animals. She will continue to do so after this.
Honestly, I have found kayakers, bicycle riders, and trail runners are dumb, at least most of them.
 
I don't know why she didn't walk closer and spray the bugger or throw something at him. I can't possibly imagine a more nagging voice than that. I would leap from a building to escape that.
