lol!! Wss.... Figgures!

WELL!! I called WSS today to tell them the f**k*d up... They told me they would happily take the mag back, but, I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING!!!!

Screw them I say! I told them no thanks... "I'll just tade it off, and slag them on the inter-web", and the chick replied "well whatever you think you have to do"..... WTF!

I try to do the "right thing" and they want me to pay for their screw-up.... no thanks!

I haven't found the WSS in Calgary to be too bad. It's busy there on some weekends, but that's to be expected really.

the warehouse staff they have seems to be the problem, they don't seem to know what they are recieving, wrong parts stocked, wrong caliber recorded, etc...

If they fired the entire warehouse staff and hired some competent shipper recievers that actually knew what they were doing the problems might go away.

And Calgary is the main warehouse the ships out the wrong stuff to all the other stores, compounding all the problems.

Ha, they shipped me the wrong item and charged me the wrong price. Fixed both but took a couple weeks of nastiness to get them to refund the shipping - was their mistake not mine.

Other thing to note - if out of stock WSS will charge you for shipping twice - two separate shipments... Plus if backorder and price changes you pay the higher price.

Now with SIR if backordered they ship and no additional shipping charge (and sometimes you can add things to the order and no additional shipping charge either). If backordered and price goes up, you pay the lower price.

So... if local store not have it, SIR it is. WSS no thanks (admittedly it took me three orders to learn, something different each time).

Oh well. At least you can trade it off with a clear conscience. (Was it the manager that said that?)

Linofsight, Does that now apply to Cabela's, they bought out SIR... Cause if it does, I gonna order a bunch of stuff, before prices go up!

In Dec I ordered a Chargemaster Combo and chrony. In January I tagged a Browning SA to the order. The CM was delivered in Feb at the $359 price. In Feb I tagged some reloading equipment onto the order and later in Feb a T/C Icon. End result, paid shipping when the CM was delivered and an oversize charge of 7.50 on the Icon order. C'est tout (YMMV)

But... if the CM was $450 price, I would not have bought the $115 chrony. If I had to pay shipping on the stainless laminate Browning SA I would have bought the standard version elsewhere (but ~$100 difference in price less shipping allowed me to buy the SS Laminate from SIR), the Icon was a bit of an impulse buy but on sale for $850 and only $7.50 shipping...

SIR figures good customer service means more sales means more margin. WSS figures a price increase is a price increase regardless of when order was placed and each time they ship it costs them money - top line, I contributed about $2,500 to SIR's revenue since Dec. and nada at WSS. (and some bullets are on back order so more may get added yet).

SCDL, I called and they answered, I don't think I talked to the manager. The conversation went very well, the person I talked to was very considerate, and apoligetic... untill I asked if I should send it back postage due/COD... She had a fit.... I said you gotta be kidding me, and it went down hill from there. I was on my coffe break @ work so I didn't have a lot of time, so I didn't ask for the maager and I just got off the phone fuming!! Oh well now I can go make a trade at the gun show guilt free.
