I have always been curious about these guns. Anybody ever own/shoot one? Think there would be many in Canada?

I guess MRI stopped making them a couple years back. Still, I'd sure like to get a look at one some day.......

I shot two in the States at a shoot. Quite nice, one in .308 and another in .223. Big enough to soak up recoil and designed not to bite, the range was quite short so accuracy was pretty much moot (ever see a clay hit from 25 feet with a .308 - dust). The breech system is a very, very strong rotary design reminiscent of a howitzer, all in all quite fun to play with, I don't see why you couldn't get one here if you wanted one.
 
I used to have one in .308....it was a big blast... When Magnum Research was distributing and other toys were available it was fun to have. They are used primarily for hunting so as a range gun the fun was somewhat limited. I sold it for about $650 back in the mid 90's. BGC had a few the other day and they are exportable if you want one
