I just heard about a "40 S&W>9mm" barrel for a Glock in another thread. First I've heard of such a thing and I am interested in one for my Glock 22 Gen 4.

Where to find one and what is the proper name for one of these? Thanks anybody.

Glockstore . com has them and a Video to go with it... Watch the Video !!!! G22 with a 40-9 runs 9mm in a .40 cal mag...

Yes,alot of hearsay on here. The weight of the slide on the G22 is heavier, i've been down this road and didnt change the recoil spring at first. It would not cycle at all, the heaviest it will run is 13#, u can run a 11# spring if you want

Just to add another question to the OPs, besides the barrel, does the recoil spring need to be changed as well?

No hearsay here , first hand account , haven't change anything on my gen 4 but the barrel , even use the .40 cal mag , no problems , although I only have a few hundred rounds of 9mm through it so far.

What gen was/is yours?

Any other known Canadian suppliers?

Theoretically, you could also do the paperwork and order them from Brownells, if they have them in stock.

I ordered through my LGS (williams arms) about 5 years ago. Did not have to change anything on the gun. Shot a lot of 115, 124 and 147 gr loads with zero issues. Mind you this was Gen2.

I bought a Lone Wolf 40-9 threaded and picked up a compensator as well.
Gen 4 and I now have around 1500 rounds of 9mm through it. I had to get a lighter spring for mine, went down to 11lb spring. With hot ammo it cycles fine, but with the compensator on I still get some FTE, for what it's worth.

Mine was a gen3. Shot it with cci and AE ammo. All were 115gr. All fte. After changing to 11lb springs. Everything was fine. Slide is heavier. Read the spec on glock website

If its a gen4 you will need a 9mm recoil spring assembly and 9mm mags would help too. That's what I did before I swapped my G22 for G17.
