Long Branch #4Mk1*

I knew a LB employee and he said when the plant shut down in 1945 many No4s escaped. He had a No4 unnumbered.

I thought someone had said that there were 6 different sizes of Cno7 heads?

Yep: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Nothing over that by the manuals. You are working with a much reduced pressure on the Cno7, so I doubt the critical point on a no4 would be a critical point on a no7 for wear or stretch. In all honesty, I don't think I have seen a bolt head higher than a no1 actually used on a Cno7. Seems like a lot of guys try and pawn off the higher Cno7 numbered heads as a needed rarity when in fact they are likely to never be needed.

What a beauty Fishdoc, but you have the sling on backwards. The brass fitting should be on the inside to prevent sun glints reflecting and giving away your position. Not a very strong stamping of LONG BRANCH, but really nice, me likes!!!!

Thanks for all the opinions on the my bolt head. I really didn't think it was a #7, but that is what it looks like to me.
