Long Branch GPS Coordinates

I took some more time to look through each image that was posted on that website, did you guys notice the picture from a Yahoo news article stating that the Inglis factory site was "not considered a historic site" ? I guess you can't blame them, the buildings, according to the images, were real eyesores (all that damn graffiti; now you know why I don't like going down town). Maybe Miller could have turned that 5 cent bag charge, if it had been implemented sooner, towards restoring areas like the Inglis and Longbranch factory sites instead of pocketing the extra change ?

Oh well, rant over :).
 
The plastic bag "tax" is charged by the store, and they keep what they make from it.

Apparently SOME of the buildings around the Inglis plant have been designated historic sites. They were built much earlier as part of one of the city's first jails.

It's nice to see that the miller regime can pick and choose what's part of our history, and what isn't...
 
"...if it's the right spot..." Nope, but close. The plant was located on the Southeast corner of Dixie Rd and Lakeshore Rd in Mississauga. Nothing there now though.
The Inglis plant was on Strachan Ave. Nowhere near Scarborough. Scarborough didn't exist in the 1940's.
