I wish I could find a M1 Garand for 500$ to 700$....

I picked one up for 650 last February. Had some issues. But she's fixed now. Minor, but frustrating. Meant to have it cause I pm d the guy asking a tech question on a 303 he was also selling same ad. He ignored my question and replied -"you have an hour to call me and the guns are yours".Lol. Sent me pics and I said hot dam. Yup. Anyow. Point is keep looking. That wasn't on this gun site either.

I don't know if the rifle has ever been used. Didn't look at the boltface for a primer ring. It certainly was never issued.

Yup - it's an unfired (since testing) and unissued LB No4 T.

100% of all contents in the box. Including the pull through and oiler in the buttstock.

Actually, there is a guy in Canada who I bet could do that re-weld properly - anneal the metal, weld + file and then re heat to spec. But, that would be a hell of a lot more than the $33 Beretta receiver special last week at SFRC!

Grant, you should read what the Kuhnhausen Shop Manual says about welded receivers. This is more than cosmetic as the rear of the receiver gets battered by the bolt in recoil. I never pretended to be handsome, but I'd be pretty grotesque if this failed right in front of my face. Those Beretta and Breda receivers are always an excellent choice. I've owned several dozen of them and have never seen an unserviceable one, except for the Breda that's under discussion.
