Hey all,

I have noticed throughout the years that Canadian small arms have been used/seen on battlefields numerous times over the last several decades. Feel free to post pictures of any that you have seen!

During Canada's peacekeeping involvement in Somalia (1992), Canadian solders occasionally had to disarm Somalis due to perceived threats. This 1943 Long Branch No4 was confiscated during such operations.

A 1943 Long Branch No4 taken from Taliban insurgents and presented to the 3RCR Battle Group (BG) by 42 Commando of the Royal Marines (UK) during Op ATHENA in April 2009.

Thanks,

When I was in Warsaw many years ago I saw a Ross and Canadian Inglis made Bren in their uprising museum. I'll see if I can find my pictures. Oddly made me nostalgic seeing them so far from home!

So one of our old war reserve No.4s made it back to Canada, complete with a Peshawar-made magazine? Probably '42 or '43 production with that trigger guard.

What's the chopped off butt all about?
