Extremely overpriced. But most guns that aren't from Eastern Europe are on those sites.
Hell, even some of the overpriced guns on the EE here are still cheaper.

?? The Indian FTR does influence it's value for sure but it's still an LB sniper...not exactly hanging from trees.

If it is an original LB factory sniper, I would take it at that price. If it is merely a Ishapore modified Longbranch, then it is overpriced.

That's wierd, I have a couple Ishy Enfields, and one of them is the most accurate enfield I own, even though it looks like a total POS. I've also got an Ishy .410 SMLE, prob. the nicest example of an Enfield I've ever laid hands on, aside from that whole .410 business...I'm taking it grousing this year

Yeah, it is a sniper but it's been hit with the FTR bug. After that...it loses the special glowing sensation.

And I have bought items from JP before. That doesn't mean I have to follow him like a blind sheep. But this is the internet. Obviously you know more than I do.
A friend of mine owned a rifle just such as this one. It was less accurate than an old 4 MOA Nagant.

The Ishy Sniper that my friend owns, after firing when he extracts the fired cartridge case, it is completely covered the entire length with deep scratches that border on being gouges, on all sides of the cartridge case. I have never seen a chamber so burred. As for accuracy, my No 4 Mk 1 Fazakerly with open sights at 100 meters will produce half the grouping size that his will, using the same ammunition.
Did Ishapore actually make their own sniper rifles from scratch or did they just use ones they got from other countries?
Sounds like the accuracy potential is a bit scary...

The Ishapore prejudice is still alive and kicking LOL I have to fight it everytime I see the dreaded screw. Then again the only remaining source in Volume of Enfields maybe in India.
My problem orginates on the old LE forum and the dirty birds hatred. Funny how stupid stuff sticks.

I saw a really F***ed up M47C No 4 T at a local gunshow recently. Seller wanted $1000.00 firm for it, no scope or accessories were with it. The only thing original was the reciever that had the scope pads mounted. Dinged up wood was a mix of LB and Savage. Wrong mismatched bolt looked recently painted black. Oh and the barrel was trimmed 1/4 inch for some reason and the bore was dark and looked filthy. There seemed a few guys seriously interested in it judging from what I was hearing them say. Seller plainly stated the price was firm and he was not going to go down. It is getting really rare to see them around so people who really want them no matter what are considering these. This one was really a boat anchor in my opinion and I was surprised some guys were seriously considering this purchase.

Never seen a No4T manufactured/converted by Ishapore. The few I've seen were Brit H&H conversions which had been wiped of all the manufacturers markings. They however missed the Enfield examiners mark, proving conversion in UK.
There was a Long Branch which may have been an Indian conversion, as the serial number didn't make sense, but that may have just been a re-number job.
