Long Branch Sten

I remember September 1977ish and FA Stens were available for ~$150 at a store in Saskatoon, (I don't recall the name). I stuck my nose up saying, "I don't need that, it's a waste of ammo". What a dummy.

Delisle-Thompson ring a bell? Across a street from The Bay. There was a shop on Broadway that was a classic, I don't know the name, (didn't know it existed untll long after it closed) run by a grumpy old guy who would tolerate some visitors hanging around all day.

Delisle Thompson, that was it. Right down town, I believe 2nd Ave?

23 Street, the block between First Avenue and Second Avenue, King George Hotel was on the corner of 23 and Second (building is still there but converted to condo apartments, as is the old Bay department store building.)

Crown Surplus had a lot of high power and sten stuff
When we imported containers of surplus from Israel,
There was every make and parts mix on the Mk2 and Mk3 stents
I still have a bunch of them
Used to be fun to shoot them
Mk3 was a very poor replacement for the 2
