Long distance flat trajectory

hi im looking for a really flat shooter and would like some advice for a caliber to look out for or calibers i hear 223 is good but 270 ? something a larger grain count but still is fast,,,, i want to stay away from 30 cal for this type of gun purchase

This is useless data without knowing the load by the way…
 
in the days i shot at longer distance i used a 300 wea mag and it worked great. but it will depend on the kind of rifle your re using and if you reload or not ...
 
Nothing is flat shooting at long range, so you're going to have to do at least some figuring out for trajectory if you want to shoot long range with anything. Some are flatter shooting than others though, but people need a bit more info before they can make any meaningful suggestions.
