Hi All --
I am mounting a scope on my Russian SKS, and I have decided to use a scout type mount that replaces the rear sight. I like this style because it attaches firmly to the rifle, unlike the type that attach to the receiver cover, and I like the idea of a scope mounted further up the rifle that allow you to keep both eyes open for faster target acquisition. Here is the link for this particular mount: www.scoutscopes.com
This type of mount requires a "long eye relief" type of scope with an eye relief range of 8-12 inches. I am looking for a recommendation for a basic scope, low power (3 OR 4x) and in the $100 price range (give or take).
Any suggestions?
Thanks
