I have this nice old BSA Co Sporter that I love the action and stock. Can it be rebarrelled with a No4 barrel with no problems, or is it a hopeless idea?
A No. 4 barrel could be altered to fit. It would be easier to install a SMLE barrel, as far as breeching is concerned. As far as diameters go, the No. 4 barrel would likely be a better fit in the inletting, being larger in diameter.
