I have an M-14 magazine that is .600 inch longer than the standard Norc 20/5 magazines.
Could this be a 25 rounder? It's blued and finished nicer than a Norc.
I have on rare occasions, seen Norcs advertised with a 25 round magazine, but I've always thought it was in error.
I've heard of 30 rounders for the E2.
Can anyone shine a light, s.v.p?

I can't she'd any light on your mag question, but did want to add that the 30 round mag was not made for the M14E2, and was never Vietnam issue. It's a fairly recent development.

I have never seen that before; interesting. I don't think that 6/10ths of an inch would give you an extra 5 rounds. I certainly don't know, but I wonder if this isn't made by Israel or some other country that adopted the M14 platform and made their own mags beyond what would have been included as part of the contract.

Doesn't look long enough for 25 rounds, might just be one of many commercial mags from the US.

And E2's were issued with 20 round mags, though there's the odd picture around of troops with welded mags (30 rounds?).
