***** Long range F Class FTR / OPEN *****

Sounds like the North Thompson is the place to live. I was talking to Dave DiAna at the Nanaimo range earlier in the week about the range plans in the area, Seems that in short order there will be three nice ranges in the area. I have my condo for sale, will then buy a RV toy hauler for traveling to various ranges for shooting. Seems the Thompson area will be the place to settle and shoot ...,,
We are shooting 4 relays tomorrow and 3 more in Sunday at Barrier šŸ‘ Dave and Tammy came over to the last shoot ! šŸ˜€ RJ

Well, some interesting load development for my long range rifle. If you recall, this rifle has three different caliber barrels, 223 REM, 308 WIN and 7mm SAUM. All of the barrels are 34ā€ in length and very close with long freebore with Berger 85.5 grain for the 223, Berger 200.0 grain for the 308 and Berger 184.5 grain for the 7mm.

After some comprehensive load testing (with 5 sub-caliber 5 shot groups as the final accuracy measure), the Varget powder (223 and 308) and the H4831SC powder (7mm) load results are as follows:

223 - 23.9 grains
308 - 43.9 grains
7mm - 63.9 grains

Who would’ve thought ….. easy to remember.
