Long range HIGH quality range finders???

Sad thing the going out of sale I passed on.... They were 200-400$ cheaper.

I have a swarovsky. Works well. Discontinued also. One of the best below the Vectronix.

Wow what is it and how much did you pay for it, if I might ask?

It is a Russian Military Laser Rangefinder. It will range up to 20km within +/- 5 meters. It can be used for forestry, constructions, warships, and military.

It is big and heavy but I trust this one than any kind of laser rangefinder. It will range any distance ONE TIME! (including power wires, poles, any standing objects, boats/ships over 3 km away, even farther). No need to repeat this one and that one to get the reading.

In your previous post you gave a link to this rangefinder which is a Newcon. As far as I know it is Canadian.
It is also NOT an eye safe laser. It should NEVER be pointed at a human or animal.

You can hold it steady enough to range a power wire at 3km? Even on a tripod, ranging a power wire at 3km is difficult at best. That must have one heck of a laser!

Actually, it is made in Russia. I have an owner manual written in Russian language. To my surprise, Newcon purchased their company? Perhaps Newcon is the distribution for Russia?
Yes, you're correct. I MUST be careful with this laser rangefinder because it is Class III laser which is NOT an eye safe laser. I heard a story that the solider ranged to the warplane and the enemy pilot got blinded.

The laser beam is very narrow. It will pinpoint any object, I cannot say how wide the laser beam hit the object at 3km, 10km, I would guess, under 6 inch wide? Compared to Bushnell, which I have... when I ranged the several objects in line from 100 yards to 600 yards, it will read the closest object which is 100 yards instead of at 600 yards.

It comes with the tripod with the elevation knob!!! How cool is that!

I have a Newcon LBR 3000. It's a wicked range finder. Look it up. Many built in options. 7 x glass, i think it's glass is quite decent. It's no Swarovski, but I like the glass. There is one for sale at prophet river in the consign section. Check their ad, it's the bottom of the whole list, worth every penny in my opinion. That one is 300 dollars less then I payed, should scoop it up, for the dollar you won't get better.

Maybe I was misreading somewhere, but they are eye safe.... And it runs on a 9v battery, which to me is a bonus, no more cell battery crap.

I am sure that one has an eye safe laser....
I think newcon's business will pick up a lot cause the base model from Vectronix starts at about 9k now. Not too many are going to pay that.. I paid about 5 k for my Vectronix PLRF15C but worth every penny( imo)....
