Does anyone here have or know of someone that owns enough land to shoot long distance in the Saskatoon area? I've been to the range down in Nokomis, it's good but a little far to drive when time is limited. Please help me, my alternative has been the Perdue area and it's not even guaranteed. Pasture land that's been grazed and obviously as flat as possible would be absolutely perfect!

Thanks in advance!!!!

I live an hour west of saskatoon its as simple as go for a drive find some land that has the distances you want with a good backstop and get ahold of the land owner. If your clean and not irresponsible very few people will say no.

There is an approved DND 600yd range just north of PA. I was looking at the current real property listings earlier this year, and it is still owned by DND.

If the SPRA still has access, Dundurn range is one of the finest. The Station WO was a prize winning PITA and he tipped the balance for the SPRA to build Nokomis range.

Either than the ranges that have been mentioned I haven't heard of many places. Best bet is as mentioned to try and get permission to shoot on someones property.

Edit: Though I'm always open to suggestions if you find a place...

The DND range at PrinceAlbert has been closed to live fire for over 30 years. The P.A.R.&P. Club west range goes out to 500m.

I have been a guest at the P.A range west of the city.

They have pretty decent set-up out there.

They have a dozen or so reactive targets(18X12 inch Rams) that sit on a rail. Pretty fun to knock those off at 500 yards.

Melfort Gun club I think has at least a 500 yard or more range as well.
