Long range shooting days ontario

Hello I’ve setup a 1000m range on my private property and was wondering how much interest there would be if I did small groups of day shoots. I’ve got steel plates setup from 100yrds all the way out to 1k and also a 100yrd range setup with paper targets. My property is in Huntsville about 2 hrs from Toronto. I would do a full day of shooting with a lunch included. Just seeing if this would be something that people would be interested in doing.
 
Sounds like you have the makings of a real great afternoon, maybe throw in a barbecue with it😃
I am more than a few hours away mind you, but it sure sounds like a great way to meet new friends and have a great time!🙂

I'm writing from Toronto. This is such a great idea and offer. Thank you. My goal since I began learning to shoot long-range has been to do so to 1000 metres proficiently, but it's hard to get the practice in at that distance in Ontario - options are limited, as we know.

Be careful how regularly you have a few friends come out to shoot. By definition, a shooting range means a place that is designed or intended for the safe discharge, on a regular and structured basis, of firearms for the purpose of target practice or target shooting competitions. (champ de tir). (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-98-212/FullText.html) You don't want to have any long range events run on any set pattern, like first weekend of the month or every second Sunday.
 
See if you can extend it to 1500meters or 1 mile, that would attract more interests especial for ELR people.
Or if your "range" is capable to set up targets between 400-800 meters for PRS style shooting practice, I guess more people would also be willing to spend the day or weekend there for practicing or you can even host some matches during the year.
Need to see what's the terrain is like.
If just 1000yard/meter, people in GTA can shoot at Borden with ORA which is a lot of chance during the year already.
 
I would definitely be interested in attending if you decided to do this.
Although realistically as a novice precision shooter, Id be satisfied with 500 or 600m depending on size of tgts.
