Perhaps not long range but medium range. My club only goes to 300.

I'd also suggest looking at the .223 Remington with "heavies". Like 75 the 77tmk 75 hpbt etc.
They're an absolute joy to shoot especially if you're a recoil wimp like me
For glass I suggest a maven rs1.2.

The new Tikka T3X ACE Target in 6.5creedmoor with 26inch barrel or 308win with 24inch barrel would fit most of your needs before you go customize.
If you are going to ORA's match in Borden, then 6.5cm with longer barrel would be easier to shoot 1000yard target.
After you shoot out the barrel, there are quite a few barrel maker on the market for you to try different calibers without buying a new gun.
DNT 7-35 should meet all your target shooting needs or you can save money for some middle price range ones like the Zeiss LRP S3 6-36.
