So a guy from work a while back said he made a 1600M shot with a .22 on a biathalon plate...
Thats the first tale.
The second,
he says he made a mile shot with an FN from a reclined position holding it with his feet.
Oh, and both shots were with iron sights.
Since he had to be explained what iron sights are I am calling BS but lets hear from the guys who are able to make long shots!

Cheers,

vvv

All shots should be considered real. Always. You'll find them to be more real the further out the shot was, and even more real if they are told online rather then face to face. The most realistic shots are the ones that hit very small targets(dimes, clays, ear holes, eye balls, etc) way out "all day long if the shooter does his part".

I like the several versions of the long range sniper/ sharpshooter who is sent out at a moments notice, and is never told if his gun is loaded or contains a blank story. Usually from the same guy tellin the my friend with the ###X Force made this ###Xm shot.

I managed to hit a roughly 6'x12' steel gong at 200 yards with a really old cooey .22lr sniper rifle. Hit it with the very first shot... and didn't touch it with the next 20 rounds :( lol May be a piece of piss for experienced shooters but experienced I ain't. It was mostly luck I figure, seeing as I couldn't seem to hit it again haha

As for the two stories, they both sound like BS... :S

I shot a flie at 653 m with a water pistol! lol! He probably could not hit his own ass with a hand full of rice!

Pfft thats nothing! When WW2 broke out instead of going to Europe my grandfather used to go up on the hill from his house here in Newfoundland and shoot Germans all day then come home in the evening for supper. ;)

Yeeeeah... Well, the last FN I saw makes me think it might be a tad short for shooting in the Creedmoor position... unless the shooter is a, um, uh little person.

Secondly... f:P:2:

Thirdly... f:P:

And with my closing remarks... :bsFlag:

Find new people to associte with. Preferably people who don't think you are dumber than them - because those are the worst ones. It is human nature to adapt to the environment we find ourselves in and that includes intellectual environments. Soon, if you remain there, you will find yourself spinning similar yarns or absorbing those lies as truth. How do you think Libtards are born?

That almost goes double for shooters/handloaders. Due to the inherent dangers in our hobby, stupid WILL hurt. Unless enough nerve endings get severed at once. Then the pain will be minimal, but you'll need help with bottles of ketchup for life.

If you doubt me? Wait till someone tells you "Oh hell yeah! Just load your 30-06 with Blue Dot. My grandpa used to do that in the depression. Saved enough money on shooting to buy himself a fancy new _________ (prothetic limb)."

Ba ha ha ha! Good one.

Well when MY grandfather was in WWII, instead of going to the Eastern front, he just climbed the highest building in Stutgart and shot Russians from there.
