Today we started setting up for a five stand and with our two new bowmen machines. The release would work perfect and then it would throw two targets back to back even tho the button for trap 2 was only pushed once? Will be calling for advice help when I have a chance but wondered if it was just us. We are new to this system so any advice is nice

Thanks

Justin

You should of bought Promatic machines as they work in our crazy weather. Remotes can be Promatic or Long Range with both available with round counters. Long Range was developed for Canadian winters in cooperation with La Roue du Roy, the first Canadian user of Long Range. Neil Chadwick is the owner of long Range and a very bright guy.

That's helpful Henry good job, :(

Are you sure it's the controls? If it's a new machine, I'd bet that the micro switch that detects a target has been loaded and the arm is cocked is either miss adjusted or faulty.

If you have a cord / manual controls see if the machine still throws extra targets. If you rule that out then I'd look at the wireless controller.

Give them a call and they will help you out. Great outfit to deal with.

On the long range release modual you should be able to set the pulse signal . Try setting it to the short pulse reffer to the manual .Dartmouth clay target had a simlar problem with a winchester western . they are using for there 5 stand .

agree, depending on the vintage of the receiver, you can add a jumper wire to the circuit card to give you a shorter pulse, which works better for solenoid release machines. And I agree, long range is great to deal with. As for promatic, good machine, bowman is just as good, I would argue better.
