long rifle sleeve/scabbard?

thinking we need a buckskin or canvas carry sleeve for an old Marlin
beaded or plain, maybe fringed
would this be a diy? or are 'traditional' ones available?

It can be either/or.
You can make your own, and I think Tandy might have a kit for this purpose.
Alternatively, there might be a leather worker or craftsman who could make you something. You could search of fb or Kijiji or somewhere.
Option three would be going to a gunshow, or outdoor oriented event and getting lucky with someone who has one for sale

My mother made a bunch of longrifle socks from Hudson Bay blankets. They are pretty nice IMO. I have a couple buckskin ones as well that my Dad made beaded and fringed. They are nice but tje blanket one are more practical imo

Etsy has some nice genuine ‘American Native’ beaded buckskin rifle sleeves shipped from Pakistan or Africa- go figure!!!

If you search around too, if I recall there’s a couple leather workers on the site that do holsters etc, I’ve found often times the price jump isn’t that high to have someone make exactly what you want over store bought, and then you get exactly what you’re after and a perfect fit.
