Hi,

So... I just received a new forestock nose cap for my No4...

The nose cap is LB marked... but on the very bottom is a "CCM" stamp... like the hockey equipment company... the C's even have the same font as the labels on hockey pants and sticks...

Does this mean that CCM made parts for Longbranch? Did longbranch make hockey skates???;)

Sure built a few wonderful cars, though.

There is an actual Russell-Knight in running condition in the Manitoba Automobile Museum at Elkhorn, Manitoba. Sounds just GREAT: that funny hiss that you got out of the "Silent Knight" sleeve-valve engines just cannot be described or duplicated.

Had a ride around the lot in that Russell Knight many years ago. The engine sound reminded me of an old treadle type Singer sewing machine running empty at moderate speed. Many well recognised firms went over to producing war materials / parts thereof - once saw one of the two can rectangular aluminum mess tins with a " Wearever" stamp - I think it was '44 dated.
