The Zeiss conquest 3x9x40 has a constant 4" of eye relief at all magnifications.
Aim for 4" + eye relief. Switched from a weaver @ 3.5" to a leupold 4.3" and it is a HUGE difference.

Where the Leupold variables are concerned, they do have over 4" at minimum magnification, but they only have around 3.6" or 3.7" at maximum magnification.
Zeiss and Leupold measure eye-relief differently. Zeiss measures from the glass, and Leupold measures from the housing. That makes that 1/4" or so Zeiss "advantage" disappear at the high-end magnifications, and the Leupold wins at the lower powers.
Gents,
What is out there for a long eye relief scope in around the 2-7 or 3-9 type of magnification? 3 inches is not enough on the scopes that I have. Not a scout type as the rings are in the usual location.
