Longer or heavier BLR Barrels

I have a BLR takedown in 308 with the 20 inch barrel. It's a real nice bush gun. Does anyone out there make:

1. a longer barrel
2. a heavier barrel

Just putting it out there for conversation.

I believe the alloy frame BLR does not lend itself to barrel changes or upgrades. The normal receiver locking recess' are actually machined into the barrel and press fit at the factory. Therefore barrel replacement is a factory job.

I was thinking as it is a takedown model and the barrel and stock come apart from the receiver as one piece there might be the option of simply slipping on a longer/heavier barrel.

I recall seeing a thread on Accurate Reloading that discussed rebarreling a BLR, with an eye toward bigger chamberings (.375Ruger? .458Win? Don't remember exactly...). Like almost anything else, it can be done with a sufficient application of money.
