On my 10BAS I have the scope sitting about 2 notches forward of the back end. Both the Bushnell 6500 and the Sightron 10x50 seemed to like that spot. Perhaps you need to spend some time shooting the piece, both bench and prone and find where the best position is for you.
On a side note, I ended up changing the shoulder stock to a Magpul PRS. It rides on a rear bag better and just seems to complement the rifle a little more, I thought.
You'll like the rifle. It's a good shooter. One thing to be aware of, tho' The rail is 0MOA, and if you are using somehting like a Bushnell at 600m or more, you will run out of elevation. Ask me how I know..hehehe...
