Longshot for use in light 45 Colt?

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but i could not find a thread on it.

I have a Ruger SRH (454 Casull) with a 7.5" barrel.

I have my go to loads for 454 Casull, but am struggling with 45 Colt loads.

When using 250gr Hornady XTP's, I run 12.8grs of Longshot and love it.

I have been playing with 255gr lead bullets using 12grs of Longshot, but am getting leading pretty quickly.

I have also been playing with 295gr lead bullets using 11grs of Longshot, but am getting the same leading quickly.

I cannot find some lower pressure loads using Longshot. I like this powder in several calibers and I currently have tons of it around, so i want to use it.

Suggestions?

I do not believe that they are undersized. They are normally perfect bullets since they come from you ben.

I found some load suggestions regarding lighter loads and using Longshot. I made up 12 test rounds with 10gr of Longshot.

I'll try the out ASAP and see if they make a difference in the leading i'm seeing.
 
Ben didn't say "undersize bullets", he said "undersize for your bore". There's quite a big difference.

If the bullet and bore size is OK then slowing it down or using harder bullets are your options. Where did you find the .45 colt / longshot data? I'd be interested to look at that.

I was searching on the net about longshot and Colt 45 loads. I came across a load on one of the many, many pages i looked at. I'll let you know how they work.

If this works, I'll need to find a reduced load for the 298gr bullets I have as well.
