At one time, Schultz and Larsen in Scandinavia was selling Palma barrels for various actions - pre-chambered and pre-threaded - front end was turned to accept standard 0.750" aperture front sight base. I installed one on a m1917 action - still have not got the magazine blocking completed, nor do I have a proper target stock for it yet - that barrel was chambered for 7.62 NATO. I got a "clamp on" front sight base from a CGN guy, and the appropriate Parker Hale Front Sight from Numrich, that fits to that base - likely terribly "old-school" - from the days of 1,000 yard target shooting with iron sights - no scopes. I ended up with a Parker Hale 1200 TX in 7.62 - sort of took the "edge" off the want / need for the m1917 build. That PH 1200 TX was a repeater - latest one is a single shot with a Cold Hammer Forged (CHF) barrel - I am sure it is an after market barrel install - has London Proof House stamps - I am quite sure Parker Hale stuff went through the Birmingham Proof House..
