Bought myself a new Marlin 1895 GBL 45-70 the other day, didnt do a thorough look through at the store and came home to find this mess of a front sight. Spent $850 on a new rifle with a bunk front sight :bangHead: I emailed Gravel Agency and they are sending me a new front sight, great service but geez Marlin...where is your QC??? Sight post is bent and canted, dovetail isnt even sitting flush lol..my kids could do a better job.
Just a heads up for my fellow gunners, make sure you really check square inch on your purchases before forking over your hard earned cash.

If the fitting of the front sight is your only problem, you're fortunate since a ghost ring and post is a superior sighting system, being both faster and more precise. A ghost ring and post is affordable compared to an appropriate scope and mounts, they're readily available from numerous sources like NECG, Skinner, and XS, and if you're handy, they can be installed without the services of a gunsmith.

I just bought an SBL and other than the weak checkering on the butstock the thing is immaculate. My thought process was to buy the SBL I’ve always wanted before the quality goes back to crap because Remington is tanking.

Looks like they hammered the bead to the right to compensate for the poor indexing.... brutal!
At least it's not leaning left.
