Did unboxed my Sig SSG 3000 and pulled out one of my Sightron Slll 10X50X60 LRTD ( all time favorite scope) and got to the test target and realized that i am looking at a .6 MOA rifle at 100 metres with factory ammo, the last time i got a test target so good with factory ammo is when i got my Nemesis... JP.

3 shots aren't a group. Sorry!

But I'm sure it'll do better than .6 moa 5 shot groups regardless of that test.

The real test is a ten shots group, when i get good ones, i know, i have found the full potential of a rifle... JP.

RWS Target Elite I wouldn't expect to be cheap ammo. RWS knows their stuff and makes extremely good ammunition.

I have some of their .22lr ammo at around $.50 cent a shot... For .22LR. That isnt even their match grade stuff. Consider paying around 1$ a shot for that.

Hope it shoots as good or better with reloaded rounds. They are nice rifles.

With my famous reload using 208 Amax and R-17 it should be very thight, this is a proven load in 308 and the 24 inch barrel will permit 2650+ velocity, a bucking wind load... JP.

I dont see no problem with the 1 in 11, if it doesnt stabilize them i will go back to my best load with R-15 and Lapua Scenars 155 gr, this is a winner load but i will try those Federal 168 gr GM first... JP.

"YOUR" famous load?!?!

If you look at my sig, I shoot the same load in a similar twist and same length barrel. I'm just shooting lower velocity because I feel no need to make hot loads. 48.2gr would net me around or just above those velocities.

The 208gr Amax is OK for the 1:11 twist of the Sig?

Yes. Don't believe the internet talk. Many shoot them in 1:12 no problem. Not sure of their conditions, but at 5500 ft I have no issues at 1:11.25 to 1100 yards. That's where I ran out of elevation on that particular rifle. Fixed with the Razor. Sunday funday might be 1300.

Does anyone else find it slightly "ghey" when (2) guys are arguing whose "load" came first? lol

I might give that bullet weight a try and probably try RL17 as well. I've been prepping some loads for my 5R and Savage 10 FCP with 168 gr, 175 gr, and 178 gr with Varget and IMR 4064 powders

JP,
Nice rifle...A bit off topic but why did you sell your 6.5 Creedmoor. You were all pumped up about it and got rid of it shortly after, just wondering. The 6.5 is a great caliber.

The rifle is awsome, i am just to involved in the 308, all others caliber dont seem to interest me enough... You know the 308 is a way of life... It was my first custom and i have only good things to say about it, but with the restricted bug coming my way, i would not let go many of my 308, many other calibers would go first... There is no other reasons... JP.
