This could be a major victory for Ruger - they've found a way to open a new market for revolvers. I'm sure they will sell lots of these - given that they are a good solid gun (the price is VERY reasonable) and have the barrel length advantage. Now if only Smith was listening......

Way to go Ruger! I'm pretty big on S&W when it comes to wheelguns, but it's nice to see an OEM fill this market niche.

If only we could convince S&W to do the same; they have a few 4" offerings in their current lineup that I lust for. I wonder if it would be possible to convince a distributor to do a special run, just like the 5" 686s with the unfluted cylinder from a couple years back.

It's pretty much a brand spanking new product with this legnth of barrel. But the overall gun has been around for years of course.

Just got mine this morning. Nice! The transfer bar does rattle, but the plunger does not. There is a little bit of "free play" in the plunger but does not rattle like the bar. Can't wait to see how it groups at the 25 yard line.
