Look what my mates in Aus just killed!

How is the meat on those? Or are they even edible?

Not trying to get into an ethical debate.

roo meat isn't that bad if prepared properly. It can be pretty tough and gamey if not. marinate and put on kabobs was the best I found. You can buy it in just about every grocery store down there. There was a movement for "sustainable meat". which meant some aussies switching from cattle to 'roo, as some felt that cattle were destroying Australia slowly,.

saw a few get hit by semis when on my way up the east coast. pretty goddamn exciting driving at night out there...

So here I am in Canberra (really back in July 2011) and my mates shot this 'roo' or buck on their buddy's farm! We figured it was over 100kg.

These guys can sure put a dent in your truck on the highway!

Holy geez! Is that ever a big rabbit!!!

Micky Dees got into touble for not discloseing that they had Roo meat burgers.

It wasn't about the protein or lack of fat as opposed to beaf ,just about not telling

I've heard a lot of them provide meat for pet food in Australia, but I've never been there to verify it. When I lived in the U.K. in the 1980s and '90s kangaroo leather became known as excellent for motorcycle clothing - tougher but more comfortable than the best cowhide.

My hunting boots are kangaroo leather.
