Looked At A Mossberg MVP LC 223

Who makes the light weight stock for the Mossberg MVP LC 223?

I was thinking of putting something like that on my Remington 700 SPS 223.

I have a Mossberg MVP in 223 and I don't think its a real tack driver but its chambered in 5.56 and that's what I normally shoot.

The Remington SPS is probably a better platform except it doesn't have a removable mag like the Mossberg.

The sps doesn't have a removable mag! ? I only ask because I'm in the market for a new .223 and I've decided on the sps tactical..was going to pull the trigger by weeks end

I got my Remington SPS on trade a few months ago and it only had less than a box through it. I am interested in trying it out this week.
Its quite compact compared to my Rem 5R 308. Probably won't shoot as well either.

I believe the Mossberg MVP LC is made by the folks at Mdttac.ca which is based off there LSS chassis.

I put my Remmy SPS in an MTD LSS stock and purchased the MTD box mags, I am very impressed with the system and the icing on the cake is the 10 round magazines!! And the sps is a tack driver!!

It is an MDT stock and FYI if you were looking at Cabelas they raised the price today by 200$ per model made my decision easier to go another route. The scope included deal was good saving about 350$ with scope and rings... Not anymore.

So am I understanding correctly that the sps does NOT have a detachable box mag?

You've understand correctly. Not a detachable box mag, it's called "floorplate", its an internal compartment that stores the ammo, and you can open it by the bottom of the stock. When you open it, all the rounds are falling off.

Oh okay, I didn't realize. I also assume this is different thN a blind mag?
