Lookie what arrived... Knoxx SpecOps

I personally like things that a bit different so this stock is great. I am left handed so the Speedfeed with the opening against my cheek was no way to go anyways. I also like the fact that I can shorten the stock up if I can every talk my girlfiend into trying it out :).

As for the gap near the trigger guard, I did not ice it, but the stock is tightened up on mine as much as I feel comfortable with, ans it does not do anyhing with the functioning of the shotgun.

I just got mine today and I installed it on my Mossberg 500. It took 5 minutes to take my original stock off and install the Knoxx Spec Ops stock.

It is tight on and there is still a very small gap between the stock & the trigger guard.

I will try it thursday night and see if the stock does come in contact with the trigger guard in actual shooting situations.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I finally tried my Mossy with the Knoxx Spec Ops stock tonight at the range.

I is heavier than my original stock (Mossberg Persuader 18.5") but as i mentionned before, easy to install (about 5 minutes).

On the range, the recoil was dramatically reduce. To my opinion, about 50% of the recoil is absorbed by the stock. I'm not gonna use the word "Sweet" like the guy in the video by i have to say that it is smooth when i shot a few Federal Tactical low recoil slugs.

The down side, from my part, is that it was difficult for me to aim correctly since the Spec Ops stock is higher than the original stock. Since i only have the traditionnal bead at the end of my 18.5" barrel, i have to press the stock firmly againts my cheekbone in order to be low enough to align the bead and get an accurate shot.

After 25 rounds, my cheekbone was pretty num...

My friend also tried his on his Remington 870 but his was equipped with a OKO red dot so he didn't have to crunch down like me to align his shot.

I have to choices now, either i invest in a red dot (or raised sights) or put my Spec Ops up for sale.

Does anyone know who sells a good red dot under $ 200 CND ?

Sweeeeeeeet.

My first word though after the first shot was.... f@#k if I remember correctly, since I was dissapointed in the SpecOps. Another club member said he noticed reduced recoil though.

I brought a video camera... if I can figure out how to import using Movie Maker.

I bought the Knox copstock top folder and like it as my backs F@#Ked,
I still gota get the smaller plastic front piece as the wood is to fat to pump the gun with the folder folded.

Just picked mine up at the Calgary gun show from TSE: Only $159 (tax in - show special). I think this was a pretty good find.

Now to get it mounted... I think I will ahve to go back tomorrow and pick up the screwdriver from them as well.

I will be selling my SpecOps soon in the EE. I also just received the Knoxx PowerPak to go along with it as a package. I will going back to my orig Speedfeed stock instead.
