as the title says...I'm lookin at building an AR any tips/ suggestions from the crowd? and where is the best place for parts?

Start by going to www.ar15.com.
Buy the correct tools.
You will use them again and again.

Most parts can be had at Wolverines, Questar, TSE, P-D-Ent, Armseast on top of page, and many AR parts are available from the exchange forum. You will get to know who is the best source.

I recommend LMT.

... not sure about their Enhanced BCG's though. I have heard quite a few negs.

So far, no problem with it.... as long as you don't use a barrel shorter than 14.5"....

maybe u would want to take a look at importing a bcm upper receiver group... Their 16" Govt Midlength upper receiver is looking pretty good...
